About Camilla

Camilla Baca first trained as a midwife apprentice in 2001-2001. She went on to complete the Hygeia Home Study Midwifery course and work in correspondence with Jeanne Parvati Baker from 2002-2005. Camilla’s own childbirth experiences have informed her role as a birth worker.

Her son was born at home with the assistance of a midwife in 1999, and her daughter was delivered in a planned unassisted birth in 2002.

Since then, Camilla has attended and assisted with a variety of complex births, including VBAC, cesarean, forceps, and multiple presentations.  Camilla has 17 years experience and is committed to her ongoing education in this field.

Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers — strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength.
— Barbara Katz Rothman
